Generative AI Community of Practice
The Generative AI Community of Practice (Gen AI CoP) brings together faculty, librarians and archivists, and staff to discuss the implications of generative AI for teaching and learning. The CoP fosters conversations across diverse perspectives, including both theoretical and practical discussions around the opportunities, concerns, and evolving impact of generative AI in education. It also provides a space for community members to share experiences, questions, and emerging practices from their own teaching and learning contexts.
Anyone interested in the educational implications of generative AI is welcome to join us!
What to expect
In the Generative AI Community of Practice, you can expect to meet with a group of colleagues from different disciplines and roles across Western who are interested in Generative AI. Each meeting is structure around a key topic (e.g. assessment, AI literacy, trust, creativity, bias), with opportunities for reflection, discussion, and sharing related to that topic. In each meeting, we also provide a curated list of recent media articles related to generative AI.
