eLearning Lunch and Learn Series

Description

Lunch and Learns are back!

While we're not fully ready for in-person sessions, we're pleased to offer virtual alternatives that showcase the tools and strategies that instructors and staff are using in their teaching. Keep an eye on this page for forthcoming sessions.

Outcomes

By the end of a Lunch and Learn Session, participants will be able to:

  • connect with colleagues engaged in teaching with technologies for enhanced student learning experiences
  • apply eLearning technologies and/or strategies to their course developments and teaching approaches
  • identify avenues for consultation and support with the development and implementation of eLearning approaches for teaching and learning (e.g. Centre for Teaching and Learning, Instructional Technology Resource Centre).

Testimonials

“As a result of my participation in the Lunch and Learn Series I have carefully considered and implemented e-learning tools in my class, and actively sought the input and support of the CTL to reflect on my courses and engage in a redesign process.”

“My teaching has been highly impacted by the Lunch and Learn sessions I have attended.  Through various sessions I was introduced to new ideas to make my classes more engaging, and was given the inspiration to try.  Sometimes I felt uncomfortable doing something new in class, but hearing about how others implemented the ideas and overcame obstacles gave me insights that helped me try new things.  I loved the informal nature of the Lunch and Learn sessions, and the opportunity to ask questions and brainstorm with others.”
