Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I am unable to login to Western Connect. How do I register?

A: Please make sure you are using your Western username (without the "@uwo.ca") and password.

If you are new to campus and do not yet have a username, please see information on activating your Western Identity.

If your login does not work, please email ctl@uwo.ca or call x80346 with the following information: a) your name and department, b) your Western username, and c) the program(s) you want to attend.

Q: I can login to Western Connect but I don't see any CTL events at all. How do I register?

A: This sometimes happens when Western Connect accounts are switched to alumni status, or when a former student becomes a faculty/staff member. First, if you happen to have two Western usernames, please try the other one (student login for Grad Student Events, staff/faculty login for Faculty Events).

If that does not work, email ctl@uwo.ca or call x80346 with the following information: a) your name and department, b) all Western usernames, and c) the program(s) you want to attend. Note: If you are an alumni, you will not be eligible to register for CTL events.

Q: I am on the waitlist for an event, but I will not be on-campus to submit the deposit before the first day of the program. Can I still attend?

A: Only those contacted to submit their deposit will be accepted. If you have received an email to bring in your deposit, please contact the CTL to discuss alternative arrangements for your deposit.

Q: I am unable to attend the full duration of a program or event. Can I still attend?

A: Accommodation varies by program and individual circumstance. Please contact the program coordinator listed on the program page or contact ctl@uwo.ca.

Q: I recently came to an event, when will my attendance be updated?

A: Attendance is typically updated within 2-3 weeks of a CTL event.

Q: I attended an event but the registration system says I did not. What should I do?

A: If the event was hosted by the CTL, please submit a 100-150 word summary of what you learned from the event and submit it to ctl@uwo.ca. Please include the title of the session and the date you attended.
