We're Hiring: Associate Director, Teaching Development

The Centre for Teaching and Learning at Western University is inviting applications for a full-time continuing role as an Associate Director, Teaching Development.

The Associate Director, Teaching Development of the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) works closely with the Director to support and promote excellence in undergraduate and graduate education by both faculty and graduate teaching assistants (TA) at Western. The Associate Director is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of graduate TA programs and oversees the TA development team. The Associate Director, in consultation with the Director, will make a strategic contribution to the CTL’s centre-wide faculty initiatives through designing and facilitating faculty development programs, providing consultation to faculty members and departments during curriculum renewal and review, and by supporting the scholarship of teaching and learning. The Associate Director will foster collaboration and consultation with the Faculties (particularly Associate Deans, Grad and graduate chairs) to offer highly responsive TA and international TA development programs; and strengthening collaboration with units across campus (e.g. SGPS, Western International, Student Experience, and Office of Indigenous Initiatives) to ensure relevant stakeholders are consulted in TA programming. 60% of the Associate Director’s role will involve TA development initiatives and 40% will involve faculty development.
