Join us this summer for the Generative AI Challenge!
The Centre for Teaching and Learning and the Chief AI Officer are excited to announce the Summer 2025 Generative AI Challenge.
What is the Generative AI Challenge?
This is a weekly series of posts designed to explore different facets of Generative AI. Each post will offer information on the topic and a challenge activity to explore the topic more deeply. Each week, we will be featuring a different guest challenger who will cover many different Generative AI topics, including the basics of how Large Learning Models (LLMs) are trained, Biases and Stereotypes, AI in Assessment, Creation and Creativity, Science Communication and Disinformation.
Who is the Generative AI Challenge for?
This series is for faculty, librarians and archivists, students, staff, or members of the community. We invite AI-skeptics and AI-optimists alike! Basically, anyone interested in learning more about both the perils and possibilities of Generative AI is welcome.
When is the Generative AI Challenge?
The series will run for 8 weeks from May 12th to July 17th.
How do I Participate?
You may sign up for weekly emails here. Or follow along by visiting the Generative AI Challenge blog here. There may be opportunities to engage in discussion or share your thoughts, but there are no submissions of challenge activities.
