Digital Assessment Formats
A variety of formats are available for submitting assessments digitally. Consider how your assessments can be submitted using the following common formats, and be sure to communicate to students which file formats they should submit. We strongly encourage students to use OWL Assignments over email where applicable as the assignment tool will send a digital confirmation of submission to students. In addition, using the OWL Assignments tool when applicable will allow instructors to more easily track and return students’ assessments.
- Office 365 file (e.g., Word, Excel Spreadsheet, or PowerPoint file)
- Videos (e.g. mp4, YouTube links)
- OWL Discussion Forums
- Infographics or other visual representations submitted as PDFs
- Digital Images
- Blog or Vlog posts
- Narrated PowerPoint
- VoiceThread
